The Friends of Goddington Park Committee

Wendy Seeley (Chairperson)

Wendy is a retired Headteacher who has lived in close proximity to the park for over 30 years. Through FOGP,  she wishes to help preserve the natural beauty of the park and develop more opportunities for the whole, local community to enjoy a range of sport and leisure activities.

My name is Lynn and I was born in Orpington and lived here until I was 9. I moved to Wales and then Bristol before returning to Orpington.

I remember the processions along Court Road with the May Queens on lorries and one year my daughters were on the Walnut Tappers float.

The procession always ended in Goddington Park where there would be a fete.

Now I go into the park almost every day and I enjoy the beauty of the trees, the freshness of the air and also the opportunity to meet and talk to many people who, like me, may be walking their dogs or just enjoying our beautiful park.

As Co-Chair of Friends of Goddington Park I feel I have a responsibility to help to maintain and cherish our park for everyone who comes here.

Sandeep Gollapudy (social media and website manager)

Emmanuel Facques (Committee Member & Unofficial Park Ranger)

My name is Emmanuel and I have lived in the Lodge since 2005. Goddington Park is a great outdoor space that is loved by the local community. Over the years, the park has been used by local residents and beyond for many activities, from the traditional dog walker community, to football and rugby activities, cricket, scouts, running, etc... At night, being located on the edge of the Green Belt, it is a very different place with foxes, badgers, owls and bats. It is classified as a designated area of outstanding beauty. I am keen to help to make the Park an even better place for all to enjoy while respecting the local residents. Please join us.

Trizia Wells (fundraiser)

My name is Trizia and I am a former teacher primary teacher, although since 2013 I have worked in community engagement on all kinds of projects. I have family connections in Orpington and had been visiting for over 30 years before moving to the Goddington Park area in 2021. I look forward to being involved in lots of exciting projects which will bring the whole community together.  If you are a member of the Orpington Liberal Club then you might see me behind the bar – please say hello!
